“Deep-Fried Rubbles ” is an attempt to trace the past of a family residence building before it was recently razed to the ground due to urbanization. I invited the original resident of the building to collect pieces of rubble from the building ruins and deep fry them into appetizing food items. As deep fry pastries used to be a traditional task at each family gathering, in this performance, I aim to depict and reexamine the nostalgic and personal impacts of rapid urbanization across the country.
